Hello-

I have a travel agency (separate from this page). Question, if I posted once a week or even less frequent about cruises (specifically river or cruises that go to say the Panama Canal, Corinth Canal, UK canals etc) with deals or even just cool posts. Would you be ok with or would it be a deterrent to follow this page?

Did you know that families traveled together all along the Erie Canal? Men and women who ran canal boats would often bring their children, working together to make a living. Many children who grew up on the canal eventually took over the family boat, as canal life was what they had always known. The woodcut featured today, “Sunday on the Canal,” was published in Harper’s Weekly on October 18, 1873 and shows a family happily playing on the deck of their boat. This woodcut was made by Paul Frenzeny.

Come spend the day with your family at the Erie Canal Museum, especially during our Gingerbread Gallery. Climb on the replica boat, explore the history of the canal, and marvel at the gingerbread creations… TOGETHER.

On Sunday, December 17th from 1-4pm, enjoy your very own Sunday on the Canal with your family at our first ever Gingerbread Family Day. This FREE event will feature a scavenger hunt, gingerbread cookies & drinks, and the Kids’ Choice Award for best gingerbread creation. Please share and spread the word with your RV friends! Canal Park is looking for a camp host for spring 2024! ⛺️

We are a small, tranquil park with 7 RV sites, a few primitive camp sites, and three rustic cabins. We're looking for a welcoming host who is passionate about community and customer service. The campground is highly rated by guests, and we're looking for a new person to join the team.

We are primarily looking for someone in June and May, and April availability is a plus. Duties will include: handling check-in and check-out for guests, light cleaning, and watching over the campground. Camp host must live on site, and we will provide a full hook-up site but no monetary compensation.

The is celebrating another year of incredible impact. Participants hailing from 30 states and Canada cycled, walked, ran, and paddled nearly 350,000 miles along the NYS Canal System in 2023 and 1.6 million miles since the program began in 2019. That translates into a lot of fun and fitness, plus an estimated $4 million in economic impact for local communities. Thank you to all who participated and congratulations to all of this years’ finishers!
