So Ruston Way has more to it than JUST being named after William Rust. Curious about Tacoma's historical spots? Here's the story of the Top of the Ocean restaurant, once a bustling hotspot at 2211 Ruston Way. From its grand opening in 1946 to its tragic end by arson in 1977, it was a favorite among local diners. Although it no longer stands, you can visit Marine Park to see the nautical marker and plaque that commemorate this piece of Ruston Way history.
