As travel agents we work hard to ensure your travel is safe, timely, and fun. But even travel agents are sometimes subject to delays out of our control.

Been a game of maybe we will, maybe we won't on the first leg of my trip to the Once Upon A Wish Travel annual conference.

So, right now we are on a maybe we will stretch and likely flying to Chicago where I will need to make a change to try and still get to Orlando tonight at a reasonable hour.

So, no matter how hard we try, sometimes delays happen and you just have to roll with the punches.

Disneyland starting October 23rd and WDW starting October 30th will be offering Lightning Lane Premier Pass as a pilot program‼️

What is this, you ask? It’s for any guests staying at Disneyland Resort or WDW Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts.

It will give guests one time entry to all lightning lane entrance for the theme park they are in that day!

It will be limited quantities first come first serve basis. Disneyland resort guests can get this two days in advance for BOTH theme parks. For WDW it will be available 7 days before your visit and only for one park per day!

In the roughly year and a half that I have been working as a travel agent, I have seen a couple questions over and over so I wanted to address them.

The first question is: "Why should I use a travel agent? I can book everything online."

This one isn't necessarily easy to answer because everyone values things differently, but I will start with this. It is Sunday and I am spending my day reading blogs, working through trainings provided by suppliers, and chatting with other agents in my agency to see what they have experienced lately that may help me better serve my clients. So in short, knowledge.

My hobby has become reading about travel and traveling as often as I can. If I don't have personal experience with a destination, one of the over 200 agents I work with almost certainly do. Planning for travel can be stressful. I can help take away the stress by being a knowledgeable resource for you. Additionally, we will set the level of involvement I will have in your plans. As little or as much as you want. Sometimes it is just nice to know you have someone to call if something goes sideways.

The second question I usually get is: "How much does it cost to use your services?"

My answer to that is: usually $0. In fact, if you book travel on your own, you are paying for a travel agent without having access to one! Theme Parks, All-Inclusive Resorts, Cruises, and more all build a commission into the cost of their products. So when you book direct, that commission goes back to the company. Many travel agents are independent contractors and small business owners, just like me. By working with a travel agent, you are supporting a small business instead of paying the travel company directly for a service they do not provide.

The last question I got a lot: "Well, you just work with travel to the theme parks right?"

Nope. I can help with cruises all over the world from multiple cruise lines, international travel, all-inclusives, really anything, anywhere. As I mentioned before, I spend time reading and learning about more suppliers and more locations to better serve my clients. If I am not very familiar with a destination you are considering, I have an amazing support network at my agency( Once Upon A Wish Travel) and we can ensure you get the best information and recommendations!
