Where'd everybody go?

This is a photo from April of 2020 during the pandemic shutdown. It was a critical time for Monterey Court as we awaited the stimulus money from the government with no opportunity to generate income.
Today, we find ourselves at that crossroad again, but with no government entity coming to the rescue.
This summer has been especially difficult to keep our doors open, -our revenues down over 40%, at the same time our costs for supplies, labor, fees, all increasing.
Rockabilly's, our neighborhood live music venue closed their doors for good this past week. It seems that live music venues are failing for lack of participation by their fans.

So, you have a choice today, and we do mean today. If you cherish Monterey Court as we know so many of you do, because you tell us so often, now is the time to show it with your participation, your generosity, and your love for live music venues such as ours right here in Tucson.

We have a diverse slate of shows from which to choose- good food and libations so make your selection from our calendar & place your reservations now at montereycourtaz.com and show us that you value independent small business and live music! When we fight for what we believe in - we all win!

Albert Lee & Jeremy Clyde are coming to Monterey Court on July 21! With special opener Valerie Neal.

Albert Lee is one of the most respected and renowned guitarists in music history, having worked with the Everly Brothers, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris, and the Crickets over his long and illustrious career. The British-born country-rock artist started his career during the emerging rock and roll scene of 1960s London, when he swapped bands with the likes of Jimmy Page and Chris Farlowe.

After moving to the United States and assimilating himself into the country music scene, Lee quickly garnered a reputation as one of the fastest guitar players in the business. He has recorded several solo albums and has won two Grammys for Best Country Instrumental Performance.

Jeremy Clyde is one half of the folk duo Chad and Jeremy, whose first song was the 1963 hit “Yesterday’s Gone.” Clyde has enjoyed a varied career in TV, on stage, and in film, and he has recently toured with Peter Asher of Peter and Gordon..

Opening the show will be Valerie Neale.

Tickets for this event are $30 plus tax and non refundable unless the headliners cancel the show. July 21, 6pm-9pm.
