One of my favorite sword pics I’ve ever taken. This fish was 270lb but looks bigger in the picture. I’m at 927 swords to date- every one hand cranked. This year I should easily break 1000. I’ve loved them since I first layed eyes one.

Wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year! I’ll be in the woods for the next 3 weeks but I’ll be ready to crank back up mid January. If you haven’t booked your lump trip time to get on it!!! Looking forward to an awesome new year with the new boat!!!

Awesome day! Went 4/5 on swords and then stopped and put 4 blacks and one small yellow in the boat real quick. Swords bit weird. Very very soft today but all but one was gut hooked ( he got released)

Here is a smattering of recent pics. Among them is sword number 900-released to fight another day! The new PEACEKEEPER is at outcast marine awaiting engines. She is a beast and the culmination of what I have learned from running a catamaran for 26 years now. I can’t wait to get her bloody!!!

After a day running from storms and paying some serious dues Alexa Echegarrua finally got her sword. It was one of the toughest 130lb fish I’ve ever seen and she cranked it like a pro!! Number 898! I hope to break 1000 by years end!

Last couple days have been choppy but it’s been on pecan! Swords, tile fish, Tuna, grouper what’s your pleasure? Fished on a private boat today and we got to add some snapper to the mix. I still have some days open this summer. Text me and book a trip!

More swords and big tuna!!! Today was rough as hell but we managed 2 bites and 2 tuna- 168 and 185. If you’re only gonna get 2 bits those are the ones you want!!!!

Great few days fishing. Sword fished on Friday and first bait down got insta-bit. After 15 minutes he didn’t come back so I reeled up to check the squid. As I was grabbing the leader to pull it in the boat something ate the bait. I assumed it was a shark but when I unclipped the weight and started to reel a rat blue went airborn! First bait in the water first blue of the year. Gotta love that! Anyway I had 2 people and we released one and killed 2 then headed in. Saturday we went 4/7 and killed one for dinner. Sunday I decided to go out west and see if I could find some tuna and wahoo over there. The midnight lump was lit up ! Tons of tuna on it. Bad news is that there were also 10,000 sharks. We gave up on them and went to Medusa. Got a couple decent yellowfin and all the blackfin we wanted. After that I trolled for wahoo at about 10 different rigs. They didn’t cooperate but the amberjack were snapping the wahoo baits. All and all great fishing with great folks!

Yep we caught that 140 yellowfin at 1100’ while swordfishing. The meat was probably the most cherry I’ve ever seen. Also check out the dorsal fin on the 180 sword. Pretty cool. Fishing has been good. Lots of 100-120lb swords with a stud thrown in here and there. Been seeing some Small tuna on the whale sharks and a few small schools of studs in open water…shrimp boats here we come!!!
