Join Central Indiana Land Trust, Ornithologist Wes Homoya and Friends of the White River at Oliver’s Woods for a river float and a walk to see migrating birds. We’ll meet at the preserve to board the shuttle to our put-in point for a leisurely one- to two-hour float back to Oliver’s Woods.

Indiana's newest state park offers camping, swimming, hiking, biking, birding, wildlife observation, and more. An aquatic center opened in 2013 and offers a tube slide, lazy river, splash zones and zero-entry swimming pool. Park is also home to The Farm at Prophetstown. Gate admission fees charged.

Ever been fishing in the Wabash River? Summer is the perfect time to get outside and go fishing with friends and family! The Wabash River is home to 150 species of fish, including the Paddlefish which is the oldest surviving animal species in North America.

It's a great place to catch unique fish species like:
Shovelnose sturgeon, Scaphirhynchus platorynchus
Longnose gar, Lepisosteus osseus
Paddlefish, Polydon spathula
Longear sunfish, Lepomis megalotis

To conserve and continue to use natural spaces, like the mighty Wabash River, conservation is super important. Some ways that you can help to protect the Wabash River are:
-Advocate for Wabash River clean-up and enhancement
-Plant a rain garden or use a rain barrel to limit pollution to the Wabash River
-Practice sustainable fishing techniques
