- At the Civic Center there will be a “Sunshine Festival” (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) with vendor booths, music, beer garden, Journey Stagecoach on west lawn, and model train display in Redbud Room. (Music schedule: Robin and Tony Logue,10-11 a.m.; Tara Nickole and Blayd Law, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; Chasing the Apocalypse, 1:30-3 p.m.; Native Souls – 3:30-5 p.m.)
- "Cosmic Carnival for Kids" (10 a.m.- 2 p.m.) Free games and activities at the West Plains Public Library south parking lot with a nearby sensory-friendly space sponsored by ASCEND at Missouri State University-West Plains. In the Library Community Room, 10-2, Mural Painting Event for Children and "Explore the Eclipse" with Science Educator Donna Callahan

- “Dark Sky + Yellow House” music and art event at the Yellow House, reading by author Marsha Thauwald (noon-2 p.m.); art show and live painting (2-5 p.m.) music by John Depew (5-7 p.m.)

SUNDAY, April 7
- Dice Run to the Mills begins in the morning, starting at the civic center, to benefit Christmas for Kids and area veterans
- Model train display, Redbud Room of Civic Center, noon to 5 p.m.
- Dodgeball Tournament (2-4 p.m.) CASA Fundraiser
- Meet-the-Artists "Sky High: Eclipse and More" Civic Center mezzanine (2-4 p.m.) Exhibit is open noon-5
- "West Plains: In the Beginning" Traditional Ozarks Storytelling by Danette House, Avenue Theatre (2 p.m.)
- At the Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds, an evening event features activities in a fundraiser for Child Advocacy Center. Scheduled is a Hot Air Balloon Glow, fireworks, and live music with Ha Ha Tonka and Fender Bender. A sensory friendly space will be available sponsored by ASCEND at Missouri State University-West Plains. Gates at 4 p.m., music starts 5:30 p.m., balloon glow at dusk, fireworks approx. 8:30)
- “Dark Sky + Yellow House,” Molly Healey Live and Meal with Molly at the Yellow House,6-8 p.m.
MONDAY, April 8
- Eclipse Breakfast, Colton's Steak House & Grill (8-10 a.m.)
- Dedication of Bolaji Ogunwo mural at the West Plains Public Library (9 a.m.)
Two official viewing sites (10 a.m.-until at least 3:30 p.m):
- West Plains Civic Center (featuring 10 a.m. presentation by MSU-Springfield Astronomy Department in the theater, a noon concert by Dawson Hollow, model train display in the Red Bud room, and food trucks)
- Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds (featuring storytelling, music, games and food vendors)
- "Total Eclipse of the Heart" weddings, East Lawn of the Civic Center (10 a.m.- 4 p.m.)
Total Solar Eclipse @ 1:54 p.m. - Partial eclipse is approximately an hour and a half leading up to and an hour and a half after totality and is part of the “total” experience worth seeing! Other viewing-site events are being hosted by businesses and organizations around town.

- "I Got Totality Eclipsed," Wages Brewing Co. (1-7 p.m.)
Throughout the four days, there will be self-guided history and art tours and exhibits around town. Food trucks/vendors will be available at different times and locations.
