The Bee Meadow Pool, owned by the Township of Hanover and operated by the Board of Recreation Commissioners, opened in 1964. It was built and is run entirely on funds generated from membership fees and other operating revenues. The Main Swimming Pool contains a diving board, two slides, a rock climbing wall, and a shallow area which give the pool its Z-shaped configuration. The entire pool is surr

ounded by a concrete deck, which in turn is surrounded by lawn and professional landscaping. A small tot pool is also located on the grounds. The bathhouse provides hot showers and restrooms. A snack bar is also available to our members. The pool's professional staff is headed by a veteran manager and includes well trained and certified lifeguards. The pool opens on Friday, May 28, 2021 for our Family Swim Night Season Kickoff from 5pm - 8pm. Then, the pool opens weekends and holidays beginning on Saturday, May 29, 2021, and will open daily starting Friday, June 25, 2021. The season ends on Monday, September 6, 2021. Pool membership is open to Hanover Township residents and non-residents.

We are excited to announce that at last night’s town meeting, the Township Committee approved moving forward with the funding of a Splash Pad for Bee Meadow Pool! If all goes well, construction should start in the fall and be ready for next season! The Splash Pad will include over 64 water features and ground sprayers, a new baby pool with its own set of water features, a larger section open to all ages, and will be fully ADA accessible. We would like to thank the Hanover Township Committee and the Hanover Township Recreation Commissioners for their support of this project. We look forward to sharing more updates with you as the project unfolds!

About Bee Meadow Pool - Our Story

The Bee Meadow Pool, owned by the Township of Hanover and operated by the Board of Recreation Commissioners, opened in 1964. It was built and is run entirely on funds generated from membership fees and other operating revenues. The pool is located on the 89 acre Bee Meadow Park site.

The Main Swimming Pool contains a diving board, two slides, and a shallow area which gives the pool its Z-shaped configuration. The entire pool is surrounded by a concrete deck, which in turn is surrounded by lawn and professional landscaping. A small tot pool is also located on the grounds. The bathhouse provides hot showers and restrooms. A snack bar is also available to our members and their guests. Our newly added Recreation Area includes a half-court basketball court, tetherball court, and two 4-square courts. The pool's professional staff is headed by a veteran manager and includes well trained and certified lifeguards.

Bee Meadow Pool will be open on Friday, May 24, 2019 for our Family Swim Night Season Kickoff and Noodle Night from 5pm - 8pm, as well as Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of Memorial Day Weekend from 11:30am - 7:30pm. We will follow weekend-only (Saturday/Sunday) hours in June until the Hanover Township schools are out for the year. The facility will open daily beginning Tuesday, June 25, 2019 (or the day after the Hanover Township Schools close for the year) until Labor Day on Monday, September 2, 2019.
