Summary: Keeps premises of commercial retail or institutional building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. The Floor Care Technician is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet. The Floor Care Technician provides superior cleaning services onsite at client locations under limited supervision and works in a collaborative relationship with other team members. The Floor Care Technician is a representative of Diamond Shine Building Maintenance, Inc. and interacts with customers, store personnel and the public in a respectful and friendly manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Handles hard floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), scrubbing, and buffing on hard surfaces.
• Operates all floor care machines and cleaning products safely and in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
• Follows all safety requirements and procedures at all times.
• Follows all company policies, including the anti-harassment policy.
• Reports to work as scheduled and on time, and accurately reports time worked through the phone timekeeping systems.
• Interacts respectfully with customers and personnel.
• Follows instructions on specific cleaning projects completed each shift.
• Reports all work-related injuries to supervisor on the date of occurrence.
• Immediately reports all falls or other injuries (including those of store customers and personnel) to supervisor and to any onsite store manager.
• Reports store damage to supervisor immediately and cleans up as needed.
• Keeps storage area organizing and supplied, and requests needed products through supervisor.
• Uses caution in walking over wet surfaces during cleaning.
• Provides other cleaning services, such as dusting, routine restroom and other area cleaning.
• Maintain and checks all equipment is in working order and that all necessary materials and equipment are available.
• Perform all job task with caution signs, caution tapes, and/or caution cones, and immediately informs supervisor of any equipment problems or shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
