Charming Log Cabin home sits on 2 private acres in the woods in the Poconos on the Lehigh River and Lehigh Gorge State Park, enjoy relaxing on our hugh deck overlooking the river & bike path! Watch and hear the Lehigh River rapids from the

deck or hike directly to them. Bring your bicycles as the cabin sits on the Lehigh Gorge Trail and ride 26 miles from end to end (White Haven to Jim Thorpe). Enjoy a picnic lunch, views of the river and many waterfalls along the way! The cabin also has a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, a whirlpool bath tub in master bath and a Pool Table and bar in the finished basement! Outside we have a fire pit for bon fires and charcoal grills for cooking out! We are not in a housing development, so there are no nosy neighbors! Jack Frost and Big Boulder Ski Mountains are less than 5 miles away, Camelback and Montage Mountains are 30 minutes away, Elk Mountain is also an easy drive from our cabin. Activities:
Lehigh River Gorge Trail: walking, biking, swimming, tubing, rafting, fishing
Lehigh Gorge State Park: Lehigh Gorge State Park contains 4,548 acres of land and about 30 miles of the Lehigh River. Recreational opportunities include: hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and whitewater boating. About 26 miles of abandoned railroad grade follow the river and are available to hiking and biking and provide access for hunting and fishing. Whitewater boating is a major attraction of the park. This section of the Lehigh River is Class III whitewater and is popular for rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Hickory Run State Park: (across the river from our cabin, approx 2 miles away) The 15,500-acre Hickory Run State Park, has over 40 miles of hiking trails, three state park natural areas and miles of trout streams. The Boulder Field, a striking boulder-strewn area, is a National Natural Landmark. Swimming: A sand beach is open from late-May to mid-September. A snackbar has sandwiches, drinks, ice cream and snacks. Nescopeck State Park: (approx 6 miles from cabin) Bordered on the south by steep Mount Yeager and on the north by Nescopeck Mountain, the 3,550-acre Nescopeck State Park encompasses wetlands, rich forests and many diverse habitats. Nescopeck Creek, a favorite of anglers, meanders through the park. Hiking trails follow the creek, climb mountains, pass through quiet forests and skirt wetlands. An environmental education center provides year round educational programs on the park’s unique resources. Beltsville State Park: The 2,972-acre Beltzville State Park, at the Jim Thorpe exit. The Pohopoco Creek, an excellent trout stream, feeds the 949-acre Beltzville Lake, which is a rest-stop for migrating waterfowl and is a destination for boaters and anglers. The Lehigh River has warm-water game fish, trout and panfish. You can walk to the river from the house! Walter Dam, just above White Haven, provides boating and angling for trout and warm-water game fish. All local State Parks have lakes & streams for fishing. Golf:

"I threw a Bachelor party for my best friend last month. Rented the Fat Rabbit and it was amazing plenty of room for the 14 people to sleep and hangout. Wasn’t the best weekend weather wise so we ended up just hanging out in the cabin and out on the deck most of the time. We got a pig roast for dinner Saturday late afternoon and a bus to the casino at night. I didn’t have to do a thing, everything was taken care of for me. Cannot recommend Valhalla enough! Not just for the beautiful cabin, stunning mountain scenery, and close proximity to lots of amenities, but the proprietors Lance and Lisa. They were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating to any and all of our needs. We were there with 13 guys for a bachelor party (not an easy group) and not once did we feel like we were without. We had catering (pig roast, breakfasts & more). Cabin was clean, well stocked, and had everything you would want from a Pocono getaway 10/10 would recommend. Jacob R 3/15 – 3/17/24

We stayed at Fat Rabbit cabin in February 2024. We had a great time! The cabin is beautiful and very spacious. The cabin is nicely decorated and has that home/rustic feel. We had 14 family and friends with plenty of room to move. Everyone really enjoyed the stay. I loved sitting out on the balcony listening to the river then going inside to a cozy fire.. Almost everything you need is there and the owners are nice very helpful.

Our family decided to make memories rather than exchange Christmas gifts this year. Our family of 22 ( including 12 grandkids) spent the President’s Day weekend at Valhalla River Haven. The look on our grandkids faces ( ages 5-17 ) when they entered the cabin was priceless. They were amazed at the “log cabin” design and the many mounted animals throughout the cabin. The HUGE downstairs game room was a hit. They enjoyed exploring the woods and trails and roasting marshmallows at the outdoor fire pit. We spent Saturday night snow tubing at blue mountain. The cabin was plenty big enough for our family of 22. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to reply to any questions. We would definitely consider staying at this cabin again. We had a family weekend at the Waterfall Chalet. We couldn't be any more pleased. The property was easy to find and there was plenty to do in the area close by. To call it the Waterfall Chalet is an understatement. There were several waterfalls and a BEAUTIFUL stream running right on the property. The backyard and firepit were fabulous and the home was clean and very comfortable. There were nine in our family and our furry friends and we were all very comfy in the big sitting room, bedrooms, and outside covered deck. You really couldn't ask for a better more beautiful mountain get away. Close to everything but the surrounding woods and stream made you feel you were tucked away. Love the place, loved the comfy wood fire place, loved the game room and loved the weekend getaway. The hosts were wonderful and answered EVERY question we had.
