MMA & SMP paired up tonight for a great supervisor training event. We discussed some real-life scenarios regarding how to manage effectively and deal with difficult situations.

SMP management wants our supervisors & leads to know that we support them and hopefully this great team-building event sent that exact message.

Special thanks to Holiday Inn Mentor for a great conference room and delicious dinner.

To the supervisors/leads in attendance- We're grateful to have been able to connect with all of you and we appreciate you putting in this extra time to grow ourselves and our business.

Our 2023 company picnic at Weigand Lake Park was an absolute blast. The weather was beautiful and it was great to see our employees enjoying time with their families and coworkers.

We had a Labor Day Cookout to show our appreciation for all of our hard working employees! This was such a fun get together and great to see everyone enjoying lunch as a team.

Interviewing for Senior Level Maintenance Role. Will involve CNC machine/equipment repair, electrical, plumbing, motor repair, moving machines and the use of various hand held power tools. Must be skilled. Must be able to climb stairs, work overhead and must be able to adhere to all industrial standards of safety as well as shop specific safety requirements. First shift, OT available and encouraged. We are an 80 year, debt free CNC job shop. Everything needed to perform duties is supplied.

An experienced position is available in in our CNC Multi-Axis Turnmill Department. We utilize exclusively Multi-Axis Nakamura's but if you have experience with any modern CNC Multi-Axis machine, your experience will most likely translate to these touch-screen Fanuc-based controllers. Most of our equipment is new within the past couple years as you'll enjoy the latest and greatest that machining technology has to offer. If you have experience with high temperature aerospace alloys, that's definitely a plus. Every employee is issued a large toolbox on wheels with all the tools necessary to perform your job. Very clean, very safe shop. Company is debt free, stable and still growing after 80 years and in the middle of a pandemic! Must be reliable, prompt and have the ability to learn. You will be gaining experience with secondary & cnc equipment and running easier 1-tool to 2-tool type machines. If you pick it up quickly, upward advancement is available to more complex equipment which opens the door to higher hourly rates!

Looking to add to the team. Must have experience performing in-process inspection. We specialize in the mfg of small, complex, close tolerance aerospace parts out of hard to machine exotics in a job shop environment. MUST have exp with handheld measuring equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, pin gauges, etc. Exp using an optical comparator required. Experience with smart scopes, keyence & cmm use is helpful. Documentation requires legible hand writing in English. 1st shifts available.

WANTED: Entry Level 2nd Shift Waterjet Operator

Experience operating a water jet is helpful; but not required. You will be taught how to operate and troubleshoot a waterjet used to cut metal to precise measurements. The materials being cut will be various type of heat resistant, exotic alloys. Minimum requirement is mechanical ability, ability to stand for long periods, bend, crouch, climb ladders, lift 50lbs on avg, reliability, being prompt with the ability to learn. You will be trained on first shift for a few weeks but ultimately this is a second shift position which is 4x 10 hour shifts Mon-Thursday
