Right across the street from Crooked Steeple Hall, Winterport Union Meeting House is having its 5th Annual Blueberry/Bluegrass Festival Saturday, August 3 from 12-4pm (rain date Sun., Aug 4th). Lots of food, vendors, music, games, silent auction, and of course blueberry baked goods! Good family fun

After two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have so much for which to be grateful. I’m thankful for life, health, family and of course, all our wonderful guests.


I’m also thankful for how blessed we are at 1812 Pierce House to live close to farmers who produce quality food for us every day of the year. These farms employ ethical practices, are other day of the year. These farms employ ethical practices, are members of our community and they make a delicious addition to your itinerary on your visit to Winterport, Maine.

I love spending time in nature, either by myself or with my favorite people! From the fresh flowers of spring to the range of hues in fall, each season has its own unique kind of natural beauty and I can’t get enough. I might be a little biased but I think you’ll agree... Winterport doesn’t disappoint when it comes to nature. There’s natural beauty all around.

One of my favorite parks is Abbott Park, located just across the street from our 1812 Pierce House vacation rental property.
