A lot of people ask me what to do with expired car seats. Even if you don't need a new one, this is a good way to make sure it is properly taken care of. I've even seen people cut the straps and offer them to other parents to use for the trade in.

This is a very important read. I would only add that not all OBs are like the one in scenario 1, but it isn't uncommon. Having a doula can really help you learn how to talk to your provider so that you get the care you want.

My summer is booked with babies, weddings, and vacations. I am looking to fill my fall and winter calendars. The first person to refer a client that signs with me or Tree Town Doulas, and mentions this, will receive this beautiful teething necklace from Mah H**p Jewellery. Happy International Day of the Midwife! I am lucky to live in an area that is full of amazing midwives. I have worked with several wonderful CNMs in hospitals as well as several CPMs at home births. I would list then here, but I would hate to miss someone. I love and appreciate OBs, but the level of care that you receive from a midwife is unmatched.

As much as I'm looking forward to warm weather, it does bring special challenges for pregnant women and small babies. Stay hydrated and out of the direct sun as much as possible. I plan to have several park picnics with my kids this year. What are you looking forward to most about warmer weather?
