Monkey run with the group. Had a blast guys. Next ride will be on July 30th. Will post details soon.

Bimini Trip

Please have a passport. You need to have one to pass thru customs. If you don’t have one please go to the post office and have one rushed to you. It’s a little extra but they will have it to you in 2 weeks. There are also a few forms that need to be filled out. You can find these forms on this link www.bimini-bahamas.com/Enter-by-Boat.html. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and in all Red letters you will see “All forms can be Downloaded HERE” Click on that and print the forms out. If you cant please contact me and I will send them to you. There are a few things that we should get as well like a yellow flag when entering Customs and a courtesy Bahama flag that we should display on your ski while we are there. These flags are pretty cheap and once I get a tally on every one who is going I will order them and you guys can pay me for them. They are less then $10.00.

The first thing you need to do is reserve your room in Bimini. The hotel we are staying at is the Hilton Bimini. The number is 242-347-8000. I would recommend that you buddy up with another rider or riders to cut cost. Just an idea. We will not be spending much time in the rooms after all. The best thing to do it to book your room online. Go to this website www.rwbimini.com. When the page loads at the top of the page where the tabs are you will see “PLAN YOUR TRIP” the next one says “Hilton Hotel” Click on the Hilton Hotel. When the page loads up on the right select your Arrival time which is JULY 10 your Departure date is JULY 12. Click the blue “CHECK ROOM & RATE” button. Select the room you want. We selected the 2 queen beds- balcony. On each room you will see 3 prices. The top price is what we have selected only because it allows us to cancel just in case the weather is so bad we cant go or if something comes up. They don’t bill your card on the top price, they just ask for your card number to make the reservation. When we check in that day they will bill your card then. The middle price is the lowest price but you have to pay the full amount today and it is non refundable. Enter your information and please print out your confirmation. You will also get an email. You are all set with your room.

The hotel has slips we can rent for our skies. The slips run 140.00 a day and it will hold 8 skies. That comes out to be $35.00 for the 2 days. The marina has 24 hour security with guards. We can reserve the slips once we get there. I have 2 of them reserved and will keep reserving more slips as more people join up. So please once you have made your reservation, let me know so I can make these arrangements.

Friday morning JULY 10th we are leaving from Harbour Towne Marina at (801 NE 3rd st Dania Beach Fl 33004). This marina has 24/7 security as well. It cost 8.00 a day to leave our truck and trailer there while we go to Bimini. There are plenty of hotels we can stay at there in Dania Beach for one night on Thursday July 9th. If you Google hotels near 33004 you will see them all. We have reserved a room at the Super 8 (333 South Federal Highway Dania, FL 33004) for that night. Its 65.00 taxes included for that night.

Where ever you plan to stay is ok. All I ask is that you be at the Harbour Towne Marina at (801 NE 3rd st Dania Beach Fl 33004) before 5:30 am. We are leaving at the break of dawn at 6:00 am sharp. You want to be fueled up, loaded and ready to go. With no issues at that time. As soon as we get to Bimini we will check in to Customs and then the fun begins. We will not be able to check into our rooms until the afternoon so we will have a full day of events planed for Friday.

Here is the Break down of the trip.
150.00 port fee per vessel
400.00 for the room at the Hilton for the 2 days
35.00 per ski for the slip rental for the 2 days
24.00 Marina fee in Ft Lauderdale for the 3 days
65.00 Hotel in Dania Beach Thursday night
That’s 674.00 plus your fuel and food for the3 days that we are out.
If you buddy up with another rider you can shave 200.00 off of that price.
These prices are a guideline as many of you guys have asked. Please plan your Budget accordingly as additional expenses may occur and fuel prices may vary. If you have any questions please contact me.

Information you will need to enter the Bahamas by boat
