In this video, we show you a day trip taken in May 2018 with Mark Saunders whose last ride was two years before he started this ride.
The Ba Vi mountain range is a soil-limestone mountain range, ~40km Southwest from Hanoi. It covers an area of about 50 km2, the peak is 1,296 m high. In Vietnamese mythology, this mountain is the home of Son Tinh, the mountain god. Dong Mo golf course is Vietnam’s first 36-hole golf play field, near Ba Vi. It covers a large area and offers a good view of the lakes, green grass and also a place to relax.
This is one of the most popular destinations for a day motorbike tours out of Hanoi.
About 40km Southwest of Hanoi near Son Tay, Duong Lam was the first ancient village recognized at Vietnam’s national level on 19 May 2006. It is a great chance to explore the architecture of ancient houses while wander along its narrow alleyways, visit temples dedicated to the two kings who were born there (Phung Hung and Ngo Quyen), and most interesting of all, chat with locals living in the ancient houses. Duong Lam village has about 800 ancient houses. Two famous places are Sung Nghiem Tu (Mia Pagoda) and Mong Phu Temple. Mia Pagoda is on a small hill in Dong Sang Hamlet.
This is one of the best destinations for day tours around Hanoi by motorbike.
