VIETNAM APPROVAL LETTER FOR TOURIST VISA ON ARRIVAL

Approval Letter is a document provided by Vietnam Travel Operators that are permitted & issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department to travelers to Vietnam. It functions as an official permission allowing its owner(s) to board the flight to Vietnam and get visa stamped onto the passport upon arrival at Vietnam airport.

So, please keep in mind that the Visa approval letter is not a visa, it’s just a required document to obtain a visa on arrival for Vietnam.

Unlike Evisa, the maximum length of stay is only 30 days, single or multiple entries. (25$ or 50$ stamping fee, paid at airport). However, the process to get one is super simple, you only need to provide frontpage passport, arrival date & arrival port for travel company and they will take care the rest. It will be also a great option if you are traveling in a hurry, haven't apply visa yet, or just simple you want to have stamp collection.

VIETNAM EVISA FAQs!

Below is information of Evisa that has been asked repeatedly by many travelers, that you are might looking for, if not, just let us know on comment box down below!

1. What is Evisa?
- An electronic visa (Evisa) is one of visa types issued to foreigners by Vietnamese Immigration Department via electronic system. Vietnam E-visa is valid for maximum of 90 days, single or multiple entry.

2. Immigration website for applying Evisa?

3. Processing time of Evisa?
- Normally it takes 4 working days, however in some cases: amending application, incorrect information, system error…it will takes longer. So better to apply 2 weeks prior your departure date and only book flight after your evisa approved.

4. Is there any way I can expedite (speed up) my Evisa?
- Luckily yes, Visa/Travel Agent can expedite your evisa. Depend on your flight, then there will be suitable option for you: 2-days, 1-days, 4-hour or even 1-hour rushing.

5. My Evisa is incorrect, can I update my Evisa or do I have to apply new one?
- Once Evisa is approved, you CANNOT update your Evisa YOURSELF, but Visa/Travel Agent CAN (very quick & between working hours). They can update: Name, Passport Number, S*x, Date of Birth, Expiry Date, Arrival Date….
- If your travel date is still far away, it is always better to apply new one

6. Is there any option beyond Evisa?
- For some circumstances that you cannot get Evisa or expedite Evisa, then there is Approval Letter for Tourist Visa on Arrival provided & sponsored by Visa/Travel Agent
- If travel on Saturday & Sunday via Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City), then there is Emergency Visa Service

7. Evisa Extension?
- Unfortunately Evisa cannot extend. You need to leave Vietnam and then enter again with new Evisa (We call it VISA RUN)

8. Can I get a new Evisa while I am still in Vietnam?
- Unfortunately you cannot. Even if you try to apply the Evisa while staying in Vietnam, immigration will not grant you one.

INFORMATION ABOUT TOURIST VISA TO VIETNAM

From 2022, Vietnam are issuing E-visa for 80 countries (see countries list in below pictures). Foreigner can personally apply for E-visa which only cost 25$ US, and it will takes 3-7 working days (Mon-Fri). However, foreigner usually get some problem regarding their E-visa such as E-visa not process on time or forgotten to apply for E-visa while flight is already booked, then you can come to us.
