The Brau, one of the tiniest ethnic communities in the province of KonTum, Central Highlands of Vietnam, with just 525 inhabitants.
At the onset of puberty, Brau youngsters undergo a unique coming-of-age ritual: the filing of their four front upper teeth (cà răng), signifying their transition into adulthood.
The Brau elders uphold their heritage with pride, still practicing ear stretching (căng tai), enjoying their traditional pipe smoking, and adorning their faces and bodies with intricate tattoo patterns.
