Vietnam Visa News: Policy Changes and Updates 2023

From 15th August 2023, e-visas duration will be increased from 30 days to 90 days, valid for multiple entry to meet the demands of international tourists. This is a new policy approved by the National Assembly of Vietnam to facilitate international visitors to Vietnam.

3 month multiple entry visas will be available from 15 August 2023
Effective from 15 August, 2023, regular passport holders of certain countries*¹ will be exempt from visa requirements for Vietnam for 45 days instead of 15 days.
The visa exemption for UK, Spanish, German, French and Italian passports has been renewed to 2025.
There is a proposal for 3 month multiple entry evisa coming in from 15 August.
No gap between 2 visa-exempt entries anymore, citizens from visa-free countries can now re-enter Vietnam immediately after exiting.
More countries to be added to the exemption list.
Exemption period is considered to be prolonged to 45 days instead of 15 days

25 countries that enjoy Vietnam’s visa exemption:
Vietnam's new visa policy effective from Aug. 15 extends visa-free stay for 13 countries from 15 to 45 days, while 12 others enjoy 14-90 day exemption.
