This is “bún riêu”

Most of people know Vietnamese noodle is only Phở.
Noooooo…..
You have to try “Bún riêu”, it’s completely different.
It’s served with tomatoes broth, topping with crab meat pie, medium rare beef, snails, sausage, pork crackling, duck egg, fried tofu and a lot of herbs.

Each region in Vietnam will have different way to cook and serve “Bún riêu”. Now, order “bún riêu” when you think about noodle soup.

Central Vietnam residents are reinforcing their homes and relocating boats to safe areas as Noru, one of the strongest storms in 20 years, is set to hit the region next week.
On Wednesday morning, the storm's eye would be over the mainland of central localities Da Nang and Hoi An.
Noru would be the fourth storm to enter the East Sea, known as South China Sea internationally, this year and is likely to be the strongest so far.

Residents are being moved to safety, with priority given to children, the elderly, pregnant women and disabled people.

…BÁNH CĂN…

Bánh căn is a mini sized rice cake that is fried and served with fresh lettuce, herbs and dipping sauce. What I love about this snack is the crispy texture on the outside and soft and tender in the middle with quail eggs. To eat it you take a piece of the banh can, place it in a bed of lettuce and herbs, a bit of the pickle carrot and eat it. It is crispy, sour, sweet, salty and spicy at the same time. Really satisfying!!
