On Sunday Crosby from Sunfire Solutions came to demonstrate to UPSHILL Barrydale the power of a Parabolic Solar Cooker We need to get more Solar Cookers to poor communities to Cook using the Sun 🌞 We have so much of it here !😀

Hi Creative Travelers, Welcome to the FAR-SIDE rest camp and events venue.
We are situated on the R62 Half way between Cape Town and Oudtshoorn. About 250 km north of CT, We have lovely quirky accommodation. A Cabin ,a TP and 3 Funkey Tiny home retro Caravans,all self-catering and each can sleep between 2 and 3 people. We host weekend retreats, ranging from Analog and Digital photography workshops with our photographic studio and darkroom on the property,We also provide healing journeys for those that need to break away from the Mad world and find some peace and quiet. We have abundant birdlife and the best views of the stars at night. The town of Barrydale has so much to offer if you would like to see visit www.barrydale.org.za We can arrange walks in the mountain from the property or day hikes over the mountain to Grootfadersbos. There is a lovely Hotspring 3o km North at Warmwaterberg and the lovely Crystal Pools in the Tradouw Pass 5km away, We facilitate team-building weekends, Adventure trips down the Breede River and hiking and camping in the mountains. But you are welcome to just come stay over and experience the sights of Barrydale that include many labyrinths, art galleries,book shops ,antique shops ,The Art Hotel , Magpie Collective, Diezel & Creame ,Analog Art Gallery our Famous Church and Much more,

Welcome to the Far-Side Rest Camp on the outskirts of Barrydale A Lovely little town 250 km north of Cape Town South Africa.
The Far-Side is a rest camp with quirky accommodations ranging a Rustic Cabin,3 Tiny Home Caravans and a TP. If need be we have a Big barn ,and an old Land drover Defender and a Smart car that have beds in them if you want to be really adventurous.
We are situated on a ridge overlooking a lovely valley and a fruit farm and have the od farm animals visit us ,from cows ,donkeys and horses to some wild rabbits, wheezes and have many different wild birds that just love our property, Its our little bit of heaven away from the mad world out there, We look forward to having you come share our very special place.
