I have never been a fan of road trips but the drive from Kampala to Kibale was worth it. Uganda has reach greenery lands with endless landscapes.

The drive was approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.

With drinks on board and good company the time flew by.

When we reached Kibale National Park and lodged at Chimpundu Lodge for the night. The lodge is inside the national park and it has rooms ranging from single to family rooms. Lunch was served and we had a free evening.

On our second day at Chimpundu lodge we had an early morning because we had two activities. The first being visiting the Amabere Caves waterfall and secondly the chimpanzee trekking at Kibale National Park and yes I didn’t wear any makeup on that day. I focused on capturing beautiful footage because the main stars of the day were the water falls and the chimpanzees. The first activity was somewhat refreshing because I got to witness the magnificent falls and got wet in the process trying to drink its water. The Muhoma falls is accompanied by a beautiful story but you will have to wait for my article if you are interested in hearing it. Once we were through with the activity we were escorted back to the lodge and had a quick lunch before heading to trek the chimpanzee. The trekking was quite exciting and I managed to stand 10m away from a real life size chimpanzee.
