Did you know that there's a fascinating animal out there called the Bat-Eared Fox?

These little cuties are amazing diggers and have ears that are 13 cm long and filled with blood vessels that help them stay cool in the hot African sun. They mostly feed on insects like termites and grasshoppers and have an incredibly short gestation period of only two months. How amazing is that? Today, we're showcasing three little creatures that are often overlooked in the travel brochures of Serengeti National Park. Let me introduce you to the Mwanza Flat-Headed Agama Lizard, featuring the male. During mating season, his vibrant colours and ability to do pushups are on full display.

The Kirk's Dik-dik is a tiny antelope that weighs only 15 pounds when fully grown. Unlike other savannah animals, they don't drink water from watering holes, but they rely on fruits and leaves for hydration. They prefer areas with low-lying plants for food and cover. They are believed to be monogamous, spending most of their time with their partners.

The Bat-Eared Fox, also known as the Black-Eared Fox, roams the short grasslands of Serengeti and creates its dens to escape extreme temperatures. They primarily feed on insects and help control their population.
