This is our camp at Khumaga campsites inside the Makgadikgadi National park, Botswana, for the final two nights of our just completed 14 day camping adventure with Isabell and Malte! What an absolutely fantastic safari this was, with way too many highlights to mention! The second photo was taken a little while later and in the opposite direction to the first one. October 2024
Makgadikgadi National park at it’s best. Since Botswana currently is excruciatingly dry, animal numbers are getting more by the day. There are currently around 1500 Zebra and 500 Wildebeest in Khumaga all of which are benefitting from the couple of boreholes supplying the Boteti river of water in designated pockets at a slow but steady pace!
Elephant and particularly the hippo also rely heavily on this lifeline and we hope they will hang in until the start of the next rain season which is hopefully days or weeks away!

On safari in Eswatini!… Absolutely blown away by the friendly locals and amazing wildlife in this fantastic country!
We arrived in Hluhluwe today with Isimangaliso wetlands, Lesotho and finally the Golden gate highlands to round off this 17 day safari!
