#81m Big Waves on Passage to Gibraltar

A short music video, just sailing the Leopard 45 Catamaran in Big Waves on Passage to Gibraltar. We got scared at times, but Sisu just kept going with ease, which had a very calming effect on us. We did not catch the massive waves on camera as we should should have, but it is difficult to get those shots in perspective and on camera...and it happens normally at night :-( so, no scary footage, only nice sailing :-) For the full video, watch https://youtu.be/2h1Qk-xcvls

Sailing Sisu

Sisu (a Finnish concept) is a grim, gritty, white-knuckle form of courage that is typically presented in situations where success is against the odds. It expresses itself in taking action against the odds and displaying courage and resoluteness in the face of adversity, in other words, deciding on a course of action and then sticking to that decision even despite repeated failures.

So, Petro and Frik decided to quit their good jobs, old everything and preparing to live of a boat. We are South Africans, that will sail around the world on our 45’ Leopard Catamaran, Sisu, sharing the adventure with extraordinary people we will pick up along the way. Starting by leaving the rat race, quitting our good jobs, and selling everything, we will zig-zag around the world, going against the trend, travelling from pole to pole. Follow us as this story unfolds! This is a sea-life adventure captained by a couple of nomads who have built their lives on doing what inspires them in the moment.
