Our Story

Izithombe Adventures, founded by Damien Peterson in 2018, translates from Zulu to ‘beautiful pictures’. That is what we are about, it’s about taking beautiful pictures. Pictures are a window to the world’s soul and we take you to some of the most varied and beautiful terrain our planet has to offer.

We want to offer photographers from all experience levels the chance to get out into this amazing continent and put their camera in front of some of the most stunning landscapes and scenery imaginable. We also want to share our local knowledge and introduce you to life the way only Africans know how to live.

It’s about exploring untouched remote areas that lie well off the beaten track. Immersing yourself in the wilderness through hiking and wild camping under the stars.
