Felix Unite Specials The river holiday was a totally new concept but it fired the imagination of the man-in-the-street and set the scene for the company's success story today.

The Felix Unite Group is a group of independent companies run by shareholders and managing directors who have full responsibility and accountability for the success and profitability of their businesses.The Group consists of six companies in three markets Felix Unite River Adventures, wholly owned by Felix Unite, Mark Kampers and Carlos Peres began as a simple one man show 24 years ago when Felix

led his first ever commercial canoe trip down the Orange River. "The canoe was our only vehicle and the river the road for introducing thousands of people to the many diverse, spectacular and sometimes inacessible scenic wonders of the region. We have never looked back," said Felix. Within a few years river camps, conference facilities and new canoe routes to cater for all ages, levels of competancy and specialist interests were established along the Capes Breede and Orange River and then further away to the Rio Cunene in Northern Namibia forming the border between Namibia and Angola. With the expanding River Division came the birth of various other companies within the group which all now also play a significant role within the Tourism Industry in Southern Africa. Vital to the entire operation was the training and development of teams of river guides. "Significantly many of those guides who started with us as students form or contributed to the dynamic core of our present team today,"said Felix. They include partners Mark Kampers the MD of the Group, Annie Sowden, Director of Red Hot Events, Hein Van Blerk Director of Felix Unite Tented Camps, Carlos Peres Director Namibian River Adventures. Between them all they share a common vision of life as a continuing adventure !!!!
