The 14th of Feb is a very special day on Robbin Island every year. Couples come here to get married.

Instead of saying "I DO" in an office at Home Affairs, 18 couples from less fortunate backgrounds were whisked off to Robben Island on Valentine's Day to experience their special day on this iconic Heritage Site.

They were treated like celebrities and it was such an honour to capture some of these very special moments.

Incredibly sad about all the fires raging on in the Helderberg region for the last 7 days. Even more sad to see it's coming over the mountain to Jonkershoek now. Thank you very much to all the firefighters working hard for the last 7 days to try and get the fire under control.

It's come to the end of 2016 and I am sure all of you can look back and reflect on a few things, but also look forward to the new year and what 2017 has in store for you? I have been on the road in the last few days doing lots of Cape Peninsula tours. Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point is a very popular tourist destination in Cape Town, even South Africa. Thousands of tourists flock to the Cape of Good Hope every day and the last few days have been absolute chaos with long queues and very long waiting times. However, we endured because at the end of the day it was all worth it. After standing in a Q for 2 hours and finally standing at the VERY POINT of the continent of Africa is absolutely life changing and spectacular and should be on your bucket list of places to see on this wonderful planet we call EARTH. Look after our planet and respect nature. After all, we only have one planet and you only have one life. Live life to the full and happy 2017 to all my loyal followers. See you on the flip side!!!

WONDERFUL clients on tour recently. Mathias and Jenny and their two children from Sweden. We had a wonderful time on the Cape Peninsula tour. They were such fun loving and friendly people and off course this made my job easy. We decided to skip Kirstenbosch and instead they only wanted to swim in the ocean for the rest of the afternoon. Babylonstoren is a MUST visit if you are doing a wine tour in Stellenbosch. I felt like I was transported back in time and walking around on a Dutch werf. Beautiful Delft porcelain reminiscences everywhere, beautiful designs, aromatic spices, farm animals and off course a replica of the Dutch company gardens. The entire farm is beautifully and carefully designed and planned. Open up your senses and visit the scent shop, buy freshly baked Dutch breads, or walk through the lavender fields, or pick some coriander and rub it between your fingers. End off with a wine tasting in the recently opened wine tasting centre.
