Happy World Rhino Day!

In 2008 the international trade in rhino horn was made illegal. Within a year the number of rhino poached in South Africa jumped from just 14 to over a hundred. Within 3 years it was over a THOUSAND rhino a year in South Africa.

I believe we should legalize the trade in rhino horn Asa short term solution. There are massive stock piles of rhino horn allover SouthAfrica due to the trade ban. And rhino horn grows several inches a year.

I believe all other proposed solutions are failing, and if we don't find a short term solution, there will be no need for a long term solution....

Kirkmans Kamp on Toulon in the Sabi Sands sits on the upper banks of the Sand River. It is a classic, colonial styles architecture. It sits in prime wildlife area and is famous for especially its leopards. Always an amazing stop to spend a few nights.

10 days spend camping out in the bush in the Sabi Sands, Greater Kruger on a game ranger course. It was an icreadible experience and learned alot, not just about the bush, but myself as well.

Looking forward to applying the knowledge once I am able to start guiding again.
