Guide Lucia Bellairs leads a group of maritime students on the scenic Swartkop mountain above Simon's Town. The walk up the mountain was a first for many of these Gr 12 students and reaching the blockhouse high above their hostel was a particular achievement for those with a fear of heights.

We're all having to ''do things differently' in these "'Covid times" so kudos to maritime training specialist Seatrain for breaking the mould and celebrating their 21 years with a WanderFul Walk instead of doing the usual! We were honoured to be their guides for the morning and look forward to being of service to many more Cape-based companies and families.

The greater Seatrain family - comprising staff and students - celebrated its milestone 21st birthday in the outdoors on Friday 14 August. To symbolise our intention of reaching even greater heights as a company in the next 21 years, we took to the mountains above the Constantia Valley (Cape Town) and walked all the way to the scenic Cecilia Waterfall where we enjoyed lunch and posed for multiple pictures!!!. Thanks to all the staff and students who celebrated with us, especially Seatrain founder Captain Simon Pearson who was there to cut the birthday cake!. Thank you too to the experienced nature guides from -Ful-Walks, Laz, Roshan and Howie, who kept us safe and on track and shared their plant and birding knowledge along the way. Here's to another fantastic 21 years ahead.

A special walk with a special group of young people to see a special member of the Cape Floral Kingdom...the rare Swartkop Spiderhead Protea which only occurs on the mountain behind the boarding school! A great day spent with 24 Grade 12 maritime students and staff from the Lawhill Maritime Centre in Simon's Town.
