Hey there everyone!

So we haven’t done a post about ourselves since we started this page and we have grown so much over the last 2 years, we thought it might be time for a introduction and some EXCITING news!

So Jay and I have been together for the last 7 years and we have been fortunate enough to work together and share our passion!

Tourism is our trade and it allows us to spend every minute in the bushveld, learning from nature, enjoying its beauty and teaching others!

Jay has been a Trails guide for 15 years and I have worked within many different lodges and camps in many different areas and about 2 years ago now I completed my guiding qualification.

We have spent the last year freelancing and doing walking trails out of different camps. We have also used this time to think about what we want for our future.

And so! Our page is going to be getting a new face very soon as Senegalia Wilderness Safaris takes over

Meet Witness Knowledge Mathebula!

Knowledge joined On Safari Africa 4 years ago. He is currently studying his NQF4 - Field guide qualification.

In high school he started studying Maths and Science but in grade 10 changed to History and Tourism. He learnt a lot about the industry and could picture himself working in it.

Knowledge says “It was my wish to get a job so I can help my mom and dad because the situation at home was bad . The time I grew up my father was a taxi driver, my mom was selling some veg and fruit. Sometimes I go with my father at his working place as I had no one to stay with me at home .”

After he graduated from high school he started studying electrical engineering but unfortunately had to drop out due to finances.

Through a friend he got involved in the tourism industry doing transfers and was later offered a permanent contract.

We are privileged to have a person like Knowledge work for On Safari Africa. 🙌
