Dors: Day 12
In the shadow of the ‘Pearl Mountain’ and on the banks of the mighty river that flows through it, lies Berg River Brewery, home to yesterday’s adventure.
The three explorers sampled the offerings of this great establishment while at the same time took in some of the live entertainment, provided by the young outfit, Spoegwolf.

Dors: Day 11
Staying in the surrounds of the Overberg, and more specifically Walker Bay, the team paid a visit to the well-established, and second oldest microbrewery in the Country, Birkenhead.
This shoot was a little extra special considering the reunion between the brewery, Voetspore’s Johan Badenhorst, and Valiant Swart at his old stomping ground.

The Winelands came calling, and we answered.
The target: Wild Clover Brewery in Stellenbosch. What a magnificent day to not only film the brewery and the magical little town itself, but also to build up a "groot Dors" for a cold one. Or two.

The theme for Episode 6 is contract brewing - as a result the crew followed the brand's origin and roots and partook in some of the associated cultural experiences.
No doubt, they enjoyed a lively adventure, along with a good old "Shisa Nyama" and cold beers at Mzoli's.

Can definitely vouch for this one....
California Steam is strong in all aspects especially taste. The recipe comes from days gone by in California, before refrigeration, when beer was made in wooden kegs and stored underground to keep cool.

Like most business, The Beer Route started out of a passion for Craft Beer and the beautiful nature of all the people that make it. We have never come across a better bunch of people, all striving for quality of both liquid and experience, and not shy to lend a hand to others, trying to achieve the same.
All of that said, The Beer Route is committed to reward both brewers and drinkers by bringing them together in a natural and fun way, while at the same time introducing people to the world of quality and authenticity. Yes, it’s a Beer tour, but it’s also not one; it’s an experience. You get to taste and enjoy Beer, while learning from the brewers and other interesting characters that make them. And of course, get home safely.
Much like wine, there are so many varieties of Beer, with us though, you will get to experience all of this without the pretense and need for fancy words like terroir, bouquet and of course, Tannins.....
Join us on one of our trips or we can custom-make one for you.
