Message from the Eersterust Taxi Association:

*Ilegal Tuk Tuk Transportation*

Due to recent unfortunate instances that have been brought to our attention, we appeal to the community, specifically Tuk Tuk users to ensure that before climbing into a Tuk Tuk, that there is a visible number stuck on the side of the Tuk.

There are many companies/operators that are not operating within the legal requirements set by the ETA (Eersterust Taxi Association) and the sooner we are able to identify these Tuk Tuk’s, the sooner we are able to get these off the road.

We appreciate the feedback received and we would like to work together to ensure that a safe and reliable service is provided.

We would like to take this opportunity to commend Grieta Scharnick for instilling hope in our community and for the compassion and dedication towards the Shalom Community Care Center situated in Eersterust.

The Shalom Community Care Center focuses on rehabilitating neglected and abandoned mentally ill individuals and has been chosen by our cash prize winner, to be awarded R1000.

Good day Tukkers!



The response from our customers for our weekly activations has exceeded all expectations! We share in your excitement and cannot wait for it to commence.



With that being said, we thought that we should provide a detailed explanation on how it will work.



It is important for you to ask our drivers for a loyalty card, if you have not yet received it. You are then required to take 5 paying trips using the loyalty card, which the driver will stamp to confirm your trips, and your 6th ride will be FREE! Once you’ve been awarded your free ride, will then need to fill in your name and contact details on the fully stamped loyalty card and hand it in to your driver. Please note that these details are important as this will be used in the draw every Sunday.



Draws take place every Sunday at 17:00 outside PNP. The prizes are as follows:



1st week- R1000 cash

2nd week- R1000 cash

3rd week- R1000 cash

4th week- R1500 cash and R1000 towards a charity of your choice.



(This cycle will then continue after the 4th week.)



The activation commences on 15 AUGUST 2017 and the FIRST DRAW TAKES PLACE ON SUNDAY, 20 AUGUST 2017. We hope to see you there!

Time: 11:00-13:00
Rate: R100 per person
Venue: Denlyn Mall
Dress code: Black jeans and a long sleeve black Tshirt if it is cold. Our branded Tshirts will be provided on the day.

Please note that you will be required to attend a compulsory short briefing on Tuesday, 8 August at 19:00.
