Cedric Leherle bathed in the visual side of life from a very early age as his father, Pierre Leherle, a celebrated French documentary director and cameraman, used to take him along on shoots as often as he could. In his early twenties, after assisting his mentor full time for a couple of years, fashion modelling assignments took Cedric away from his first love. This wasn't lost time as being in fr
ont of the cameras of scores of professional photographers was to him a unique opportunity to observe and learn their craft. In the late nineties, he decided to make the leap and started a photographer's career. He since has been combining commercial assignments for the corporate and advertising worlds together with more artistic and personal projects like his fine art Landscape series "Dead Vlei" and "Ghost Town", the "Sputnik 360" portraits or a recent 200 x 110 cm collage of over 300 pictures of Tokyo for a private art collector. Since 2012, relocated in his beloved Cape Town after 7 years in Tokyo, Cedric has added an activity to his business, tailored photo safari. The idea was in the back of his head for a long time and he experimented it with visiting friends that he took for road trips. Not only did they have an experienced traveler to take them to endless mesmerising out of this world locations, but also they were given the opportunity to be helped, coached to search and capture the beautiful picture. At the end of the day, seating at the table of a comfortable lodge, they would be guided through the editing and processing of the pictures...
The idea is simple. Think of a tailored photo safari, just for you, alone, with family, with friends. Wether you have a precise or no idea at all, depending of your available time, Cedric will design an itinerary covering all of and more than your wishes. Sea, mountains, deserts, wildlife, sun...traveling by car, plane or even hot air balloon, you will be able to capture it all at your pace, your questions will be answered. Like a simple road trip, with a friend who's mission is to help you transform into a serious and confident photographer. And what a better place for that than Southern Africa?
