The ocean’s gentle giants came out to play!
Whale season is in full swing and over the weekend our guests were treated to some amazing sightings out in Walker Bay, Hermanus.
A boat-based whale watching trip offers guests an opportunity to get close to these majestic marine animals in a safe and responsible way.
Gareth Dale joined his guests for the trip and shared this awesome moment 🐋

Every Monday we depart from Cape Town filled with excitement and anticipation, ready to show off some of our favourite destinations in South Africa to our guests.

This week was particularly special with a new Earthstompers behind the wheel Elroy Hartnick

From the semi-arid Klein Karoo they traveled to the lush forests and epic beaches of the Garden Route & Overberg and had a great time on safari in Addo Elephant National Park.
Our weekly group tours highlight the must-see sights between Cape Town and Gqeberha in an authentic and personal way.

Our guides take guests on a canoeing and hiking journey through the beautiful indigenous forest of Wilderness where we enjoy a picnic at the waterfall, we watch sunsets and sunrises, share drinks next to a crackling fire after a day of adventuring and we include delicious South African dinners lovingly prepared by our hosts.

It’s always a fun day out when the team gets together, and this one was no different. A perfect day in the Elgin Valley with fantastic food and wine and the best company.
We also hosted our traditional tongue-in-cheek prize giving which is always a good laugh.

"From start to finish, my fantastic experience in South Africa was due to the team at Earthstompers Adventures. Prior to the holiday office staff had extreme patience organising the private Cape Town tour to my requirements and the tour guide, Rochelle, immediately realised that I wanted to pack as much as possible into my few days in Cape Town and more than accommodated that with knowledge and good humour. The Garden Route Tour was well designed and the tour guide, Christine, made it fun taking into account the needs of each individual in the group. Her amazing photographic skills maximised every potential opportunity to take photos at scenic and iconic spots. She was a constant source of information throughout the tour and was probably the best tour guide that I have come across in of all of my travels encouraging me to face my fears and do the highest bridge bungy jump. Our group of five solo travellers from all walks of life enhanced the experience and we left the tour one big family! In Cape Town I stayed at the boutique hotel Derwent House which had such an eclectic environment that there was always something different to look at and all of their staff were so friendly that it was a true home from home. The accommodation on the Garden Route tour was incredible, each unique with affable hosts at each. If I meet anyone who wishes to explore the Cape I will certainly be recommending Earthstompers."

At Earthstompers we are always looking for adventure and for magical places to send our clients. We spent a beautiful week visiting Isibindi Africa Lodges in Northern KwaZulu Natal and we found the next Earthstompers offering! An amazing and impactful family getaway. Earthstompers Adventures has been conducting Garden Route & Addo Adventure Tours since 2006.

We offer group tours, departing every Monday & Friday from Cape Town. We also offer private tours, customized to the client's preferences. Tours offer a mix of nature, culture, and adventure.

Scheduled group tours include a canoeing and hiking trip in Wilderness National Park, a visit to Tsitsikamma National Park and exploring the Klein Karoo’s limestone caves & learning about the ostrich capital of the world. On our 5&6 Day group tours we also visit the African Penguins in Betty’s Bay, do a game drive in Addo Elephant National park & explore seaside towns and beaches including Hermanus & Sedgefield and a trip to the Southern-most point in Africa, Cape Agulhas. *View specific itineraries for exact inclusions.
