Kaaimans River Cottage, Wilderness, Garden Route! An adventure as the self catering cottage is only accessible by boat/canoe (provided by us).

Pet friendly, with a magnificent beach, tons of water activities (kayaking, waterfall excursions, fishing....) Dogs adore it here!

Sleeps 6 adults (can accommodate another 2 children). Stay three nights pay for two during May/June/July. R 5700 total.

If the weather is wintry, then cosy up around our ceramic firepot fireplace and enjoy the river views whilst hunkering down and playing board games.

For those who have a sense of adventure ...... We have a wonderful fireplace - so don't be shy to book a winter getaway. In the event that the weather forecast shows that the weather will be completely against you, and we can see that the river will be tough to cross, then we are happy to reschedule your booking and we ignore our cancellation policy in that case. However there is nothing cosier than playing board games at our big diningroom table, with the fire blazing watching the rain pour down onto the river.

When you're in the Wilderness, seriously consider a tandem paragliding flight with Cloudbase-Paragliding The owner taught me to fly a paraglider 30 years ago. He's still going strong and is one of the few pilots I'd willingly fly tandem with (and indeed have, in the Alps nogal).

Following the President's address last night, we would like to inform the public we have been given the go ahead to continue operating with our current covid health measures in place.

Some of our canoe trips enter into the National Park which is a controlled access park and therefore is currently permitted to remain open.

In order to avoid disappointment, it is vital you book in advance.

Please people, stay safe, keep a distance from each other, wash your hands, use a mask and lets beat this thing.

Once we have a view on the next few months, I'll mention a few special deals I've been planning, I just think that for now we should all rather focus on staying safe.

When this wave of Covid passes, the cottage is the type of perfect place to enjoy a socially distanced holiday and we do Covid sanitising and fogging to help mitigate risk.

But for now, everybody, stay put and have a good festive week and upcoming New Year whilst staying safe.
