KAFUE RIVER MALL PROPRIETOR RICHARD WOOLLEY IS DEAD.

Kafue River Mall proprietor Richard Woolley has died.

His closest business ally, Peter Shakafuswa of Shaka's Hill in Shimabala confirmed the sad development to Kafue Times in a telephone interview.

Shakafuswa told KT that Woolley died of a Cardiac related ailment.

Help bring Mutinta back home

Her name is Mutinta Tanya Mwengwe, a 24 year old pharmacy student studying in India and has since fallen ill to the extent of paralysis and has just been bedridden for over a month. But as of the past her condition has become worse where her head is now shaking continuously. She is alone there and is only being assisted by a friend. unfortunately the embassy there is unable to assist. Her mother is supposed to travel to pick her as she cannot travel alone in her state. Unfortunately as this was unforeseen we are unable to meet the cost of bringing her back. The total bill for the air tickets, hospital expenses and other logistical expenses comes to about $7000.Whatever little the family has been able to raise has been going towards her medical bills.

A 28 years old man of Kafue's Greenfield area has died after he was run over by a Zambia Railways Locomotive Train in Kafue.

Kafue District Commissioner Gibson Spencer Sinkala confirmed the death of Gift Chidila to Kafue Times in a telephone interview.

A Kafue Times News Crew that rushed to the scene of the accident found Police Officers collecting the remains of Chidila whose body was cut into two pieces.

Sinkala told Kafue Times that the accident which happened on Tuesday, 20th July 2021 at 10:30hrs involved a Locomotive Engine which was coming from Lusaka to Kafue.

He disclosed that the accident occurred in Shikoswe along the rail line between Lusaka road and the road going to NCZ.

Sinkala said the deceased was walking along the Railway line with headset in both his ears which made him fail to hear the hooting from the train resulting in it running over him.

The body of Chidila has since been deposited in Kafue General Hospital mortuary awaiting burial.

APPEALS COMMITTEE REFERS YOUNG GREEN EAGLES CASE TO DISCPLINARY COMMITTEE

The Appeals Committee of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has referred the matter involving Young Green Eagles and Nkana to the Disciplinary Committee.
In a ruling on the appeal lodged by Young Green Eagles challenging the decision by the FAZ Player Status Committee to award points to Nkana over the alleged use of an ineligible player by the Kafue based side, the Appeals Committee ruled that only the Disciplinary Committee had the jurisdiction to effect the prescribed sanctions.

“The Player Status and Transfer Committee does not have jurisdiction to issue the sanctions contained in the ruling which led to the forfeiture of points. The Appeals Committee has therefore recommended to table your case before the relevant judicial body to impose the appropriate action,” reads a ruling signed by vice chairperson Isaac Nonde who adjudicated on the matter with Aongola Kambwa and Buchisa Mwalongo.

“In view of the recommendation above, the Association is immediately submitting your case to the Disciplinary Committee and will inform you (Young Green Eagles) on the outcome of their sitting.”
