Concorde Construction is expanding its team and is currently seeking a proficient Health, Safety, and Environmental Officer.

Position Summary:
We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, subcontractors, and visitors, as well as protecting the environment, company property, and all stakeholders affected by our activities from potential harm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Enforce the HSE policy and Standard Operating Procedures.
Conduct health and safety risk assessments.
Administer employee safety inductions.
Ensure compliance with all necessary legal requirements.
Perform daily health and safety inspections as per the work schedule.
Conduct accident investigations and submit detailed reports.
Maintain firefighting equipment and first aid resources.
Attend site safety committee meetings.
Oversee waste management and disposal.
Prepare daily and weekly HSE inspection reports.
Conduct toolbox talks.
Provide guidance to foremen and employees regarding non-conformance and develop action plans.
Minimum Qualifications:

Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, and the Environment.
Valid first aid certificate.
Valid fire management certificate.
Grade 12 certificate.
Valid ZOHSA Membership.
Minimum Experience:

5 years of work experience in the Construction and Mining industries preferred.
Knowledge:

Health and safety management systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with industry legal requirements.
Skills:

Proficient in accident investigations.
Conducting site health and safety inspections.
Hazard identification and control.
Organizing site safety meetings.
Risk assessments.
Effective record-keeping.
Calculating man-hours, lost time injury severity rate, and fatal frequency rate.
Soft Skills:

Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
