Travel to the Philippines
Travel requirements for Foreign Nationals
All foreign nationals will be allowed to enter the Philippines subject to the following guidelines:
Filipino citizens with dual citizenship, including those with an Identification Certificate (IC) as proof of recognition as a Filipino citizen or as proof of retention/reacquisition of Philippine citizen under RA9225
Foreign nationals with a valid and existing visa at the time of entry
Foreign nationals allowed entry under the Balikbayan Program under Republic Act No. 6768 provided they are nationals of a non‑visa required country under Executive Order 408:
Former Filipino citizens, together with their foreign spouses and children, regardless of age, who are travelling with them
The Filipino citizens’ spouses and children, regardless of age, who are travelling with them
Foreign spouses, parent(s), and/or children of Filipino citizens, who are not travelling together but with a valid 9(a) visa may be allowed entry without an entry exemption document. The visa must contain the notation: EED not required per IATF Resolution No. 128 series of 2021.
Foreign nationals who hold a valid and existing Section 9(a) Visa, provided they present, upon arrival, an entry exemption document issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
All exemption letters or letter to the Bureau of Immigrations issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs will have a validity of 90 days from the date of issuance. For those exemption documents without an indicated validity date, starting 1 June 2021, all entry exemption documents dated prior to 8 February 2021 will no longer be honoured. No extension will be applied for the documents and passengers are advised to apply for a fresh exemption document through their respective embassies.
This is not applicable for Section 9 (e) visa holders (e.g. Diplomatic representatives and their families, members / staff of recognized international organizations etc.) who are covered by different
