Hi Everyone
We have been contacted by a wonderful family who unfortunately has had change in their circumstances. They are looking for a wonderful home for their two young springers, one male just over a year old (black and white) and female, just who was 2 years in October, liver and white. These dogs have beautiful nature's and currently not desexed as yet. Both are pedigree ANKC registered dogs and health tested. If you think you could provide a loving home for these two gorgeous dogs, please make contact so we can forward details. Breeders of both dogs are aware. The dogs are located in New Beith QLD. 😁

Bentley needs your help!

Bentley is a much loved 6 year old Springer Spaniel who is in hospital at NEVS, being treated for an autoimmune disease called immune mediated haemolytic anaemia (IMHA). His own immune system is attacking his red blood cells, causing severe anaemia. Patients with IMAH often require multiple blood transfusions but most dogs will recover fully.

Bentley will likely need a transfusion tomorrow but our blood bank is running low and we need more canine blood donors. Luckily his blood type is one that can receive a donation from all other canine blood types, so if your dog is a suitable donor, they can probably help!

Blood donor requirements are:
* Dogs 1-7 years of age
* over 25kg
* up to date on vaccinations and worming
* relaxed and confident at the vet
* not on any medications
* never received a blood transfusion before

If you think your dog could be a lifesaver, please call 9452 2933 and to book in for free blood donor screening at Northside Emergency Vet Service (NEVS) at Terrey Hills.

All donors will receive a thank you pack (treats and toys) and their owners receive a $100 Westfields gift voucher as a thanks for their time.

We are opening up sponsorship to our Springer Community for the Championship Show Awards. So sad... he was a great dog!

Today we confirm the death of serving police dog, PD Bert, who succumbed to cancer across the weekend. PD Bert was trained in detecting human remains and brought closure to a lot of families across Queensland and Australia.

Rocky the English springer spaniel has spent more than six years sniffing out fox dens and his work is being hailed a massive success.

On Saturday, this adventurous doggo was in a park near Bedlam Bay, Gladesville with owners when it suddenly ran into the water and swam about 150 – 200 metres in paw-suit of several seagulls nesting on a moored yacht.

The seagulls channelled their inner magpies and started swooping the dog who began swimming in circles trying to get away from the ‘gullpies’ originally chased.

Owners began to get concerned when doggo appeared to tire.

Coincidentally, Marine Area Command were driving toward the bay and were waved down. Initially thinking someone was having difficulty in the water, they were able to spot the tired and scared doggo, safely brought it onboard the vessel and returned it to thankful parents. Paw-fect work guys! 🐕🐾🐦⚓️👌
