Retired tennis superstar Ash Barty has married her longtime partner, Garry Kissick.

The 26-year-old exchanged vows with her golfer partner in a private ceremony in Queensland earlier this month.

Barty reached the pinnacle of world tennis as number one during a decorated career on the WTA tour.

She won three grand slam victories — the 2020 French Open, Wimbledon in 2021 and a hometown success in this year's Australian Open.

She announced her retirement from professional tennis in March at the age of 25, shocking the sporting world

Barty posted a wedding day photo on her Instagram account on Saturday night, with the simple caption 'Husband & Wife".

Kissick is a trainee professional at Brookwater Golf Club, where the couple met seven years ago.

The pair announced their engagement in November last year.

Last month, Barty took part in the Icons Series team golf competition as part of Team Rest of the World against Team USA, but she has rejected suggestions she might look to return to professional sport as a golfer.

The Queenslander was recognised in this year's Queen's Birthday honours, named as an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO) for distinguished service to tennis at the elite level and to youth development programs.

The Reef Eye Ferris Wheel is excited to return to the Cairns Esplanade to kick off the school holidays from the 24th of June. 🎡

We are so excited to be bringing the Reef Eye Ferris Wheel back to Cairns from the 24th June for the next four years with a brand new, state of the art 35 metre high Ferris Wheel.

Partnering with Cairns Regional Council, we are proud and excited to present The Reef Eye to the iconic city of Cairns. Positioned beautifully on the Western Events Lawn on The Esplanade, the wheel will be well complimented by the lagoon.

Castaways and Sandcastles have always either rebooked at a later convenient date or given a full refund due to Covid.
