What a wonderful Cairns Indigenous Art Fair, a must do each year in Cairns. I bought my first painting and met the amazing artist. I will treasure this all my days. It is called Family Gathering, which I had a special gathering with my family this year who live elsewhere

Saying sorry does not mean you are to blame for anything. It means you feel for another human being and their pain. It means you understand. I AM SORRY [-o-]

Thanks to the Cairns Post for featuring an article about my up and coming trip to France this week for Anzac day. Honored to be involved and representing the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander soldiers who played a significant part in our war history. This is the first time the Didgeridoo has been incorporated into the French Service.

A lot of talent in Tropical North Queensland. Looking for something unique - Mainie is an Aboriginal owned and operated, locally based company whose business is authentic and ethically acquired Aboriginal art which we market as “fashion” but it is actually “wearable” art.

It is sad that we have to advise that Guurrbi Tours Cooktown is no longer operating. Wilfred Gordon (Willie) has decided to retire in 2017. He has shared many stories and touched many peoples lives. It has been an amazing journey on the Bama Way with Guurrbi Tours. I remember sitting under a tree in Cape Tribulation with Willie, Judy Bennett, Linc and Brendan Walker and Francis Walker in 2008 talking about how we could help each other on our journey sharing Aboriginal culture. It has been a journey I (Maryanne Jacques) of Adventure North Australia will always remember. Good luck in the future Willie my friend. I will always miss you.
