Much of our lake is usually calm and shallow - perfect for littlies - but a reminder that it is not patrolled and that you should always assess the conditions, Mother Nature changes the lake daily. Ex Tropical Cyclone Seth is here. Stay safe everyone!

Currimundi lake closure & opening
Council has advised: Currimundi Lake has naturally closed to the ocean approx. 1 week ago. Due to tides and weather forecasts the coastal team have identified that Tuesday 9th is suitable for opening. We will open the lake to the ocean on the dropping tide after lunch and will utilise a large excavator for the works. A traffic controller will be on site throughout the works to ensure public safety is maintained.
