Styling Tips
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Grey Gum Eucalyptus:
Place a vase with eucalyptus branches on your timber stool or coffee table. It adds a fresh and natural touch while keeping the air clean.

2. Timber Stool:

Dear Valued Guests,

I hope this message finds you well. I have some bittersweet news to share with you. After much consideration, Chris and I have made the decision to sell The Units, and as a result, my time here will come to an end in June.

I wanted to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has stayed with us over the years. I was brand new to hosting when I launched The Units so your patronage has meant the world to me. It has been an absolute pleasure hosting over 930 groups of guests during my time at The Units.

Thank you to the team of incredible people who have helped me out with the cleaning; Kate, Dom, Em, Sarah, Roz, Mel, Jess and Clinton (and my parents when I really got stuck!) Reflecting on the past five years, I am filled with gratitude for the memories we have shared and the connections we have formed. It truly blows my mind to think about the countless sets of sheets and towels I have personally washed after every single check-out. My washing machine deserves a trophy!

As I embark on this new chapter, I want to extend a heartfelt invitation to you: consider booking one last stay at The Units before my time here comes to an end. Your presence would make my final months as a host truly memorable.

Furthermore, while my journey as your host at The Units may be coming to a close, my commitment to Airbnb remains unwavering. Today Airbnb announced new upgrades to its booking platform to make it more competitive with hotels, such as revamping its ratings and reviews pages and highlighting “guest favourites” aka homes with a near-perfect rating.

To automatically qualify for this new collection of most-loved homes on Airbnb, a number of things come into play including ratings, reviews, and reliability.

[ coastal ] we opted for a one-wall design for Coastal’s kitchen which is particularly popular in smaller apartments and homes. As the name suggests, all of the appliances and cabinetry run along one wall, giving the kitchen a greater sense of openness. However, careful planning is required to ensure that adequate room is available for food prep, as the sink, dishwasher and refrigerator can take up most of the space. One solution is to have the dining table close by to use as extra workspace if required.

Let's talk styling. A vignette is a small, curated group of objects displayed on a shelf, mantle, sideboard or other surface. It's a considered little scene that adds interest and detail to a space. Creating a vignette is a way to add the final level of detail to a space.

Experiment!
Give it a go yourself – try lots of different combinations. Stand back to look at the bigger picture. Edit. Try replacing just one item and see what impact it has.

Tip: Before you change anything take a quick photo so you have a reference point to compare your options.
