Tourist E-Visa's now available online for over over 74 countries!

TOURISTS CAN NOW AVOID AIRPORT HASSLE BY GETTING THEIR VISAS ONLINE

Foreign travellers stepping into Egyptian airports will no longer have to begin their adventure with the hassle of scrambling for change to cover their visa costs and subsequently experiencing, perhaps for the first time, the jarring powerlessness that comes from being told, “mafish fakkah.”

Well, they may still experience all of that if they’re poorly prepared, but a new E-Visa Portal from Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism allows travellers from 74 countries listed on the website to apply for and secure their visas allowing entry into the country, all from the comfort of their homes.

Travellers can apply for single-entry or multiple-entry passes and provide the basic documents required, pay by card, and complete the whole process online. Just don’t forget that the E-Visa will need to be printed out and handed to the border officers and voilà, you’re in.

: Over the last couple of nights as the city prepares for the momentous moving of 22 mummies from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat as part of the historic Pharaoh’s Golden Parade, photographers and passers-by have been capturing the new Tahrir Square obelisk awash in light, seemingly like a beacon in the heart of the city. While most captured the striking display from within the square, this image taken by Walaa Al Shaer away from the square on Tahrir Street, caught our attention. How poignantly it tells the story of this beautiful bustling city of ours - millennia of history cloaked in the chaos.

Our own team will be on the ground tonight capturing the parade but we would love to tell the story through your eyes too. So tag us in your photos to be featured.

The parade will be live streamed from 6pm tonight (Saturday April 3rd) on the Experience Egypt YouTube channel.
