EMIRATES CONFIRMS PREMIUM ECONOMY ON SYDNEY ROUTES ✈️
New cabin class to go on sale from 01 June 2022.
Emirates has just confirmed that it will launch its new Premium Economy expeience in Australia, with the product initially exclusive to limited high-capacity A380 destinations including Sydney, London and Paris.
Bookings will open from 01 June, for travel on the initial routes from 01 August, with the addition of Christchurch flights from December this year.
Located at the front of the main deck on EK's Airbus A380s, the new cabin class offers "luxurious seats, more legroom and a service to rival many airlines' business offering," the carrier said. A total of 56 Premium Economy seats will be available on A380s, while up to 24 will be installed on EK Boeing 777s in a dedicated cabin section between Business and Economy.
Barry Brown, Emirates Divisional Vice President for Australasia, described the introduction of Premium Economy on the Sydney service as a "game changer for Australia...it's an important part of our longstanding commitment to the Australian market, investing in our product and offering our travellers a world class experience over the last 25 years of flying with us".

Thailand to drop arrival testing and pre-booked hotel requirements from 1st May
🇹🇭✈️

According to Thai website, Thaiger, from May 1, international travellers will no longer need to take a PCR test on arrival or book a SHA+ approved hotel as part of the current Test & Go entry scheme.Thaiger reported on Friday, April 22 that The Thailand Center for Covid Situational Administration (CCSA) has announced major changes to the Kindom of Thailand’s Test & Go program, which is part of the broader Thailand Pass.

The requirement for insurance coverage will also be reportedly dropped from US$20,000 dollars to US$10,000.

Unvaccinated travellers will still need to make, and pre-pay a hotel booking and complete a PCR test on arrival and on Day 5.

However, if they submit a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival the quarantine period will be waived, according to announcements made at the meeting.

The Thailand Pass will remain as registration for anyone wishing to enter Thailand including Thais and foreigners.

Documentation, including vaccination certificates and proof of insurance, will still need to be uploaded and approved before arrival in Thailand.

The good news though is that both the complex Test & Go and Sandbox schemes are now history, under the changes.

So from May 1, 2022, entry into Thailand for vaccinated travellers will essentially only mean registering for a free Thailand Pass before you arrive.

The only two categories for entry under the revised system will be vaccinated and unvaccinated.

Pre-travel PCR tests had also been abandoned as a pre-condition of entry into Thailand on April 1.
