Last night we gathered to commemorate a truly remarkable milestone - the 40th anniversary of Goldman Travel. What an incredible journey it has been since our inception in 1983! We've weathered many storms, soared to new heights, and along the way curated unforgettable memories for countless corporate and leisure travellers.

At the core of this success story is a man who has been our guiding light for these four remarkable decades – our Executive Chairman, Tom Goldman OAM.

Goldman Travel is not just a business; it's a family affair, a labour of love. It's a place where we are "big enough to compete and small enough to care." Our family involvement in the business has not only kept us grounded but has also brought warmth and love into our corporate culture.

As I reflect on these past 40 years (and 27 years since I joined the business), I can't help but remember the world events that have shaped our journey. From global economic shifts, acts of terrorism, ash clouds, to natural disasters and a pandemic that shook the very core of our industry, we've seen it all. But here we stand, still going strong, proving that when we stand together as a family business, we can weather any storm and turn challenges into opportunities.

Yet, amidst all the challenges and triumphs, what truly makes Goldman Travel Corporation extraordinary is the laughter we've shared. Whether it's navigating through air disruptions, airport chaos or sharing travel anecdotes, our laughter every day has been the soundtrack of our journey. As we embark on the next leg of our journey, we will do it with the same enthusiasm, resilience, and, of course, the humour that has carried us this far. We believe in making sustainable travel choices available to everyone.

We are doing this in two ways;

1) As a company, we are starting our own offsetting journey with BlueHalo so that each journey a team member takes, the CO2 emissions are calculated and offset against our environmental impact. The value of these offsets supports are range of positive outcomes for our planet and local communities, increases biodiversity, and supports gender equality and Indigenous employment.

2)We are now offering our customers the opportunity to offset their corporate travel. BlueHalo has been integrated into our Serko Ltd. ZENO booking system so you can make informed decisions about which flight to take or hire car to book, and what the cost to offset your journey will be based on certain travel choices.

Last week, Goldman Travel Group team members came together with supplier partners and industry colleagues to celebrate travel industry legend Tom Goldman’s 60 years in the travel business.

A gala dinner was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney with over 180 Goldman Group staff and industry colleagues. Tributes were flowing from speakers including former AFTA Chairman Mike Thompson and Virtuoso senior executive Michael Londregan. Guests included Tom’s family including his grandchildren, Goldman Groups supplier partner and other industry friends.

“It was a wonderful event which paid tribute to our father, industry mentor and travel legend Tom Goldman OAM”, Anthony Goldman said. “The room was buzzing with stories from years gone by and our teams, industry friends and supplier partners were happy to be all together to pay tribute to Tom.”

Team members were present from Goldman Travel Sydney, Travelcall Sydney and Melbourne, The Cruise Centre by Travelcall and Smartflyer Australia.

The journey hasn’t been easy over the past couple of years in travel & tourism, however we’re absolutely delighted to be back face to face with our fellow team members doing what we love to do. We continue to work with our technology partners to grow our corporate collection of business solutions for our customers. Our systems continue to be built on a powerful platform of technology, established relationships and genuine, personal service. Cutting-edge Duty of Care systems continue to be essential in today’s uncertain world and if there is one thing we have learnt in our 39 years of operation, it’s that risk management and crisis response aren’t a one-size-fits-all proposition. Our suite of products give us and YOU the power to locate, track and communicate with your travellers in times of need.

As business travel continues to evolve, it can be hard to keep up with changing risk warnings and travel requirements. To help navigate this , TravelSafe is now available in our Zeno Online Booking Tool. The capability surfaces the COVID-19 travel and safety requirements of a trip at the point of sale, helping to remove the guesswork associated with interstate and international travel in a post-pandemic world.

We’re also getting ready to launch our sustainability module in Zeno called Mission Zero. Mission Zero empowers business travellers to make informed booking choices by surfacing the carbon offset data associated with flights within the booking flow, prioritizing lower emission rental car options, and providing customers with the ability to offset emissions for a net zero travel program through an integrated selection of targeted environmental program. Home Delivered Testing Service
Let us send your pre-travel international COVID testing kit to your door. If you are Sydney-based and have your international flight booked, let us take the hassle of your pre-travel covid test away. Simply book your test using the link below and your kit will be posted to your door where you can conduct your PCR from the comfort of your own home.

Your kit will be posted directly to your home to do yourself. This service is managed by Medlab Pathology, one of Australia’s largest, privately owned independent pathology practices who have performed over 500,000 PCR Covid-19 tests.

International COVID Certificate
You will be required to show an international covid vaccine certificate in order to travel overseas. The easiest way to do this is via your Medicare Express app. You will need to enter your passport details and a PDF of your certificate will be created.
Alternatively, you can use this link to gain more information and download your certificate. Note that it is recommended you print your certificate out and take it with you for smoother processing through airports.

Passport Renewals
Is your passport about to expire? Some countries require you to have at least 6 months remaining on your passport for entry to be permitted.
With the country being in lockdown for the best part of two years, passports haven’t been a priority…until now. The standard application takes approximately 3 weeks although it you need your passport urgently, you can pay an additional fee to receive it in 2 business days.
