Mask mandate scrapped for domestic flights - Isolation period reduced from 7 to 5 days!

The Australian Government has confirmed the mandatory mask mandate on domestic flights has been relaxed from today, Friday 9 September.
Australian travelers can now breathe fresh air as the wearing of masks on domestic flights will become voluntary.

Qantas and Virgin Australia have announced that they will continue to make masks available on board for passengers who wish to remain masked.

The COVID-19 isolation period has also been reduced from seven days to five days from Friday 9 September for people without symptoms.

The seven-day mandatory isolation will remain in place for those working in high-risk settings and for people who are still sick.

The federal government is ditching a requirement for overseas travellers to provide a negative COVID-19 test before they fly to Australia.

PCR test and isolation guidelines for overseas travelers including international students
It is exciting that international students and skilled migrants are allowed to come to Australia from today without seeking an exemption. All fully vaccinated international arrivals including students must self-isolate for 72-hours of their arrival.
They must not leave self-isolation (except for seeking a COVID-19 PCR test) until 72 hours have passed and they have a negative result from a test taken within the first 24 hours of arrival.
They must avoid high-risk settings for seven days and have a PCR test both within 24 hours of arrival and on day six. NSW Health strongly encourages all international arrivals to have another test 12 day after arrival.
According to NSW Health, penalties for non-compliance with the isolation, testing and quarantine requirements have increased to $5,000 for individuals (from $1,000), and $10,000 for corporations (from $5,000).

All Australian citizens and permanent residents aged 12 and over who have received two doses of an approved or recognised vaccine will be able to leave Australia without needing an outwards travel exemption.
Children under 12 and those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons will also be able to travel overseas without an exemption.
Australian citizens and permanent residents who do not meet the eligibility requirements must continue to follow the current border processes when leaving Australia or coming to Australia.

Dear valued clients,
We are pleased to share the good news which we have all been waiting for that NSW is going to open its border to fully vaccinated Australian citizens and residents from November 1, 2021.
This exciting news came out following the NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet’s announcement as the state hit its 80% double-dose vaccination target on Saturday the 16th of October.
What does this mean for you?
In simple terms, if you wish to travel back from overseas to NSW, you are welcome to do so after November 1st without having to go through hotel quarantine, as long as you are double vaccinated.
For those Australian who wish to travel overseas still need to apply for travel exemption.
