Chinese Medicine began over 2000 years ago, and today provides an effective model for health care and the prevention of illness, with a central aim of restoring harmony and balance to the individual. It is holistic in its approach, which means that you will be treated as a whole person, rather than just your symptoms. The primary modalities used by Chinese medicine practitioners are acupuncture an

d Chinese herbal medicine, which are effective in their ability to:

•Assist in promoting good health and preventing illness
•Address a wide range of health concerns including chronic and acute illness
•Treat the whole person, rather than just the signs and symptoms
•Help people to realise their full health potential
•Provide an effective alternative or adjunctive therapy to western biomedical approaches

The UTS fourth year intern clinic

Our clinic is staffed by interns, who enter into supervised intern practice in their 4th and final year of study in the Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine program. The interns are trained in a combination of both Western biomedical health studies and Chinese medicine specialisation, and are supervised by registered Acupuncture and Herbal practitioners (AHPRA: CMBA). Our interns are proud to offer a high level of care and professionalism. We understand that each one of our patients is unique, so each acupuncture or herbal treatment will be designed specifically for your needs. In addition we will provide you with information about lifestyle and diet to support you to take an active role in your own health maintenance. Become active in your own health and enhance your experience of life.
