Pema Gyalpo, 48, is a tour professional with experience in organizing and guiding trips for visitors to Bhutan for the last 15 years. He started his career as a guide in the Tourism Council of Bhutan, Royal Government of Bhutan, and today runs a progressive private tour company. There is no route - cultural or trekking - that Pema Gyalpo has not been to, nor any pocket of Bhutan he is not familiar with. He is thoroughly acquainted with the culture and the traditions of the people and the Kingdom. He has access to the highest people - be it in the government, private sector or the clergy - and also keeps frequent touch with the common and the ordinary. A workaholic, he believes that success in tourism is 99% hard work and 1% inspiration. No wonder, his company, Ancient, Bhutan Tours has emerged as one of the leading Bhutan-based tour operators.
