We have been doing our best to be as eco friendly as possible for many many years now (since 1997 in Botswana). We have never used plastic bottles, have rosewood boxes for our wine and do not use bottles wherever possible as we carry our rubbish with us until we can dispose of it, tow a 1000l water trailer filled with tasty potable borehole water, with a section for dead wood on top for our cookin
g and campfires, do not use chemical toilets, we cook only wholesome nutritious tasty food and as our entire staff eat the same food as us there is no wastage. We do our best, by digging our toilet holes and burying the ash from our fires, to leave behind us only footprints. Recently a rival company pointed out that the stainless steel insulated bottles our guests use on safari take 700 years to decompose, he said the disposable plastic bottles his clients use take only 20 years to disappear - I said the answer is to use our bottles for 700 years making me not very popular.
